Pillsbury Manor was founded as a senior living community in 1985, and has since expanded to become seven separate successful facilities in northern Vermont.
The company came to Bluehouse Group looking for a fresh website, but they first needed help with their branding. Pillsbury Manor was both the name of the company as well as their original location, and the overall brand was unclear and confusing. We facilitated a successful rebranding process that tied all the locations together under one strong brand, Pillsbury Senior Communities. We also provided brand guidelines that the company has used in ongoing print advertising.
We crafted the website content and navigation to educate people about how to choose the right fit for a senior living residence and lead them to the appropriate community. The sense of home that makes each Pillsbury community so special is clearly conveyed throughout.
Additionally, website usability on a mobile device is extremely important. The search for senior living is often done by the adult children of an elderly person, sometimes while visiting their parents from afar. Using responsive design, Bluehouse created a website which adapts itself to small screens on the fly. Text is large and readable, navigation links are clear and easy to use, and key content is emphasized and obvious.
